Here we go with Celinabean's second whodunit.
(Look here for the first Celinabean mystery contest. And here for the answer.)
Where did I get these? You tell me. Here are your clues:
This spot would be a welcome break for weary owners of fixer-up houses.
Until recently, you could have gotten hash browns and grits near-by.
Don't judge a book by its cover. Don't judge a restaurant by the number of potholes you hit getting to it.
If you win, you get a plate of the egg rolls.
In the event of more than one correct answer, I will choose a name out of a hat, or a bowl, or maybe a big bag of Thai basil.
Good luck, Celinabean

I'm gonna say MyLinh?

Capital Thai on Central!
It's near the old Denny's, near the Home Depot. And Central Ave is pitted with potholes.

My guess is that Vietnamese place on Madison Ave.... or what used to be a Vietnamese place. It was MyLinh's years and years ago, and then closed, and then something like Hai Au -- which also closed a while ago.

I think it is Capital Thai on Central Avenue. Their food is authentic and great. Denny's used to be just nearby on Central Avenue, and that is where you would have ordered hash browns and grits.

Capital Thai on Central Ave... Near the vacant Denny's (for smothered and covered hash browns) and in the vicinity of some of the BEST potholes in Albany! (I live near there so I know!)

It's gotta be Capital Thai on Central Ave. Right by Home Depot and the boarded up former Denny's. And you'll need a front end alignment after you've been there.
